         What is computer ?

The term 'Computer' is derived from Latin word 'Computare' this means to calculate.

       Computer is an advanced electronic device which takes raw data as input from user and processes these data under the control of set of instructions (called program) and gives the result(output). In other word computer is an electronic device which works on IPO cycle. It can process both numerical and non-neumerical (arithmetic and logical) calculations. In other word computer is a programmable machine that can store and retrieve data and perform high speed logical and mathematical operations. The working principle of computer is IPO (input process output) cycle.
